Knowledge when viewed as a detached intellectual activity lacks the input of values and individual experience but then how would we derive universal knowledge without this impersonal relation.
Knowledge should be viewed as a balance between questioning and reasoning and the results of beliefs experience which may be revised to bring about true knowledge. I have always thought of knowledge as something that one knows based on experience or what one is taught. Since the topic of epistemology I revise that thought to include revision of knowledge based on a belief proven to be true or not after it has being tested.
